i am. asking (nicely)
ok, so i really hope i’m not the only person that deals with this or else this analogy wont work. do you ever sit in a class and have no freaking idea what you’re doing & feel completely helpless? ya, ok, me in french (pourquoi madame?!?) and when the teacher asks if there are any questions, you just wanna say “yea, what does BONJOUR mean?!” but you dont have the balls to speak up? ok, ya, me too. BUT WAIT then you’re saved by a classmate who asks a question that is exactly what you were most confused about! like, shoutout! thank you! you’re a homie!
on a real note, someone has to ask the questions or, in this case, comment. so many of you dm me telling me that you can relate to my posts and tell me about your experiences & i LOVE that! it makes me super happy knowing that i’m talking about things that are relevant to others! but do you ever think that maybe someone else has a similar story or issue as you? and maybe they dont have the balls to speak up (but would be much more comfortable if someone else commented first)? (cough cough see the connection) not forcing you or anything (kinda). but if you ever read one of my posts and think “dang, this same thing happened to me” or even “boy, you have no idea what you’re talking about” tell me! (in the comments) i’m sure it would be extremely helpful to some of the other readers (& even me) to get another perspective! you never know who has been in your shoes or who would benefit from knowing they’re not alone.
