so it’s final exam time, aka. the time of year when i get less than my usual 9 hours of sleep & have to strategically make time to shower & eat. i have been so busy this last week that i haven’t even been able to go on pinterest or stalk post malone. as someone who has never had to deal with stress, i asked you guys to give me some tips on what you do to handle it. i’m really hoping that this list of tips can help you as much as it has helped me (it’s not final exam stress specific) in order to relieve stress, you can:
push your roomie down the hall in a swivel chair. all good ways to blow off steam. working out can be a game changer.
2.take a dark shower. sometimes you just need some complete silence & darkness. but, try not to think about the famous shower scene from psycho.
3.color. adult coloring books are huge right now. you can color positive images, anime characters, or swear words surrounded by beautiful flowers. lots to choose from.
4.make a to do list. this one helps me soso much. but be sure to prioritize what you have to do personally & put off everything else. like your laundry! you might even discover that the bright orange shirt you never gave a chance is actually pretty fetch.
5.listen to music. i prefer something that puts me in a good mood but is also chill. i even like to have it on while i’m studying or doing homework. try a little bon iver or louis the child.
6.take a break to talk to friends or family. i always give my mom a nice long call when i need to take my mind off of what i’m doing or to rant.
7.meditate. alleviate, it’s really great, will not frustrate. oops, got carried away:/ i do this almost every night before bed & it helps more than you can imagine.
8.cry. if all else fails, treat yoself to a good ol’ ugly cry.
so ya. this time of year sucks, but just think about how good you’re gonna feel after it’s over & you’re stuffing your face with holiday dinner, binge watching the office, and living your best life completely stress free.
