lately, I have gotten really into something called intuitive eating and working out. i know it sounds all hippie, but hear me out. for those of you who have never heard of this, it’s basically when you listen to your body and let it tell you when you want to work out and when and what you want to eat. ya, at first glance, it may look like an excuse to eat chocolate all day and never go to the gym, but, for me, that hasn’t been the case at all. i now look forward to going to yoga, because i go when I WANT to go & not because i think i need to go six days a week to stay in shape. i also eat that piece or two of dark chocolate when i feel like it, because, well, it just makes me happy. & what i’ve noticed is that instead of having “cheat days” where i’ll consume an entire pizza and a carton of ice cream, i only eat that one square of chocolate, because that’s all that my body usually craves. i am satisfied and healthy, at the same time! ain’t nothing wrong with that.
