i’m just gunna start by saying i am so impressed by the people who come up to me & introduce themselves, telling me they recognize me from instagram. lets just say, i have a hard time saying ‘hey’ to people i know at times.
blogging takes up a lot of my time & its superrrrr easy to get discouraged when a picture gets less likes or comments than usual. but then i remind myself of why I started this blog in the first place. it was to trace my failures, successes, journey. but it has become so much more. this blog has resonated with some of you, has made some of you feel less strange or alone. your comments have done the same for me, and for that i am grateful. they keep me going. so, please don’t stop!
the most meaningful is when someone tells me that the content of my blog changed them for the better or profoundly impacted their life. last week, someone came up to me after class and told me that he wasn’t trying to be dramatic, but a blog post saved his friends life. like WHAT!? i went home and bawled my eyes out. it appears that what is said on social media is important, and can be life changing. it showed me the power in our words. it became more than just a girl who types her feelings in her notes app. it became real. it made me realize that we have to be respectful of this platform and use care in what we say. this guy’s comment rocked my world!
thank you. all of you. everyone that this blog has introduced me to. you have all changed me for the better. i appreciate you more than i can say.
