i tend to convince myself that my decisions aren’t really influenced by society, but as i grow up i realize that almost ALL of my decisions are influenced by society. for example, lets talk drugs and alcohol. sure i’ve drank (don’t snitch), but it’s looked at as normal. my parents did it, my friends do it, & honestly, no one seems to care (think: no laws when drinking claws). but when it comes to weed, its a whole different story. & no, i’ve still never smoked weed, and i used to hate it, because i thought it was the devil. but as i take a step back, i realize that it’s wayyyy safer than alcohol.
how many people do you know have died from weed? now what about alcohol? how many stupid things have you done from drinking? what about smoking?
its honestly scary how much we rely on society to tell us what we should and shouldn’t do. i tend to be too trusting & gullible. i don’t question what i’m told. & don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying that we should all up and switch to weed over alcohol, but i am saying we might want to question what society is telling us & really do our research. i know i should.
