i am. busting some myths

earlier, i was scrolling through my insta feed and saw a guy’s post of a brain that was supposed to represent a woman’s thoughts. it was surprising (funny, really) how wrong it was and how much it represented the stereotypical view of women as depicted by such characters as regina george (brain full of shoes, impulsive shopping and gold digging) a pretty one-dimensional view. in my experience, however, women are really much more like elle woods. so, like an episode of myth busters, i’ll be telling you guys what is and isn’t on most girls minds (hint hint, its not shiny or pink).

things likely to be on a woman’s mind:
1.food-ok this one is kind of a given, but whatever. I’d bet $ that a 4 for 4 is at the forefront of many guy’s minds.
2.song lyrics-no matter how bad we dont want old town road stuck in our heads, we cant help it (am i wrong to assume that guy’s get songs stuck in their heads, too?)
3.”i need to go to the gym”-unfortunately, we often end up watching KIWTK or the office
4.”her outfit is so cute”-yes, clothes still occupy our thoughts (but have you seen a guy and his sneakers?)
5.corny jokes and memes
6.sex. some of my gfs think about it more often than my guy friends.

what we are NOT likely thinking about:
1.how we can get someone to support us, financially. nah, we’ll get that bread on our own.
2.why he doesn’t want to be with us 24/7. we like our space, too.
3.gossip. well… maybe just a little (girl’s locker room: ‘did you hear that becky slept with john’. guys locker room: ‘if you chug that red bull i’ll show you my foreskin’) haha
4.shiny things. some of us would rather have a good meal or adventure than sparkly jewels
5.picking a fight. we just want the whole story. is that too much to ask?
6.your penis. we don’t care about its size and we certainly don’t want you sending us visual confirmation that you have one.

when compiling this list, i realized just how much guys and girls have in common. we are really more alike than we are different
guys, what are some misconceptions girls have about you?
