i am. conflicted

i swear, it seems like i never have plans. but, when i do, they all seem to fall on the same gosh dang day. like, on the fourth, i had to choose between staying home for my brother’s family birthday party (thanksgiving in july!), or going to kalamazoo with my friends. i sat and contemplated what to do with my mom for an hour before finally deciding that i should stay home.

but my decision is beside the point. what i am poorly trying to get across is that regardless of decision, i still ended up picturing what it would be like if i chose the other option. i think we all kinda believe that the grass will be greener on the other side. i know im not the only one scared of missing out – i mean there’s even an acronym for it, so you know it’s gotta be legit.

but, the reality is that the grass is actually greener where you water it (cheesy sayings not in short supply in this post). so i made a decision, & i had to stick with it. why waste time worrying about what better things you could be doing and make the most of where you are? your time is already compromised if you don’t.
