intelligence is sexy. but that doesn’t mean you need to pull a will hunting on me & recite the words of some famous dead french guy like foucault.
having some friends that never even considered college and others being premed, i find it so interesting that the amount of school a person has, or how prestigious their major is has nothing to do with their intelligence.
some of my “smart” friends believe in conspiracy theories while backing up their arguments with sat scores. on the other hand, some of my “less smart” friends will admit when they don’t know something, but will educate themselves before speaking on a subject.
intelligent people, i’m sure, know to judge intelligence on more significant information than the number of years spent in school. education is important, that goes without saying. but discrediting someone’s intelligence just because they don’t have letters after their name is just, well, stupid.
