i am. no longer disillusioned

(sex part I)

‘let’s talk about sex, baby. let’s talk about you and me.’ cough cough ok sorry. where was i? oh yeah, sex. something most people avoid in conversation (like 6ix9ine avoids Chief Keef) making it seem as if it’s more than it is. but it’s just sex, and it should be discussed. although sex may be unsavory dinner conversation, it is on our radar. it’s in the movies and on tv shows (think: frank and any woman willing on every episode of shameless?) its also on the news and in social media. what can i say, sex sells. & every adolescent boy seems to have access to sex on pornhub. but, if we rely solely on what we see in the media, we’ll likely have a very distorted view because what is shown is overly dramatized. (unfortunately, if you’re expecting your first sexual experience to be like Fifty Shades of Grey, you will be extremely disappointed. its more like an awkward s*** show). kids likely see these unrealistic images and think that’s what sex is supposed to be. i mean, can you blame us if that’s all we are exposed to? it puts so much pressure on us to have this incredible first sexual experience, when it is often very far from perfect.
