i’ll never understand why we feel the need to knock what someone else likes, just because it’s not for us? i may think that something you dig is a bit strange, but I won’t make fun of you for it. instead, i’ll applaud you for bravely pursuing something you really care about.
i know that my obsession with posty or my intense love of dad jokes may seem silly to some, but how boring would the world be if we were all into the same thing? how many long boarding, latte drinking, beanie wearing, classics reading, guys named jake can there be?
weird combos of interests are what keeps this world turning. we need the goth guys that care deeply about sustainability and the pretty & popular girls who have a passion for mechanical engineering. but, if your interests are “basic” (like mine), no hate. we still need you, jake. you are not malone (;
